Our Trip to Avignon
We road the TGV or Train á Grande Vitesse down to Avignon. It's the French high speed train. They typically run at 186 mph. Our train was an express from Paris, making one stop at Avignon before terminating at Marseille.
The trip only took two and a half hours. A local would have added an hour, but could have used the main station downtown which was just a few minutes from our hotel. We arrived at the TGV station and then caught a shuttle bus.
